Kirstin graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in Haileybury in 2018. She completed her Veterinary Technician National Exam in July 2018 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician and passed with flying colours! Before joining Upper Ottawa Animal Hospital she spent several years in Ottawa during which she completed a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Carleton University. She worked for a couple of years before deciding to go back to school to follow her passion and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has always loved animals and has owned and raised many over the years including; cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and rabbits.
She has an interest in both animal behaviour and medical nursing. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, reading, movies, and spending time with her cat Basil.
